What an awesome book Bink - you did it again and can't wait to read your next one! It was about a single mom Kat with two girls and expecting a third one that worked as a librarian and did everything she could for the benefit of her daughters. Ever since her dad was killed when she was a young child, she had never had closure and was looking for information as to why her dad died in a horrific crash many years ago and posted on fb that she was looking for info. A member of Texas Chapter of the Sacred Sinners MC contacts her and tells her he's got info on her dad but that he can't discuss it over computer that she'll have to come to him. Thanksgiving weekend she leaves her daughters with her mom and flies to Texas and rents a car and heads to his clubhouse. She arrives and then all heck breaks lose and before she knows it she comes face to face with her ex (father of her children) who goes by another name and her father and she passes out too much for her to accept. In the end she gets a new family, gets info on her dad and then finds that she's experiencing a sense of loss again having to go back to Indiana to her home and daughters. Definitely worth the read! It's highly likely that I'll read it again - Bink Cummings did a great job on this book - Can't wait for the next book!

This was so very good. A couple moments that had me wanting to put the kindle down and walk away but it had not a single thing to do with the plot or world/character building or the authors writing skills. It was just something that happened with the characters that I wasn't exactly happy about. But, overall it was amazing. Bink is so good with all her words. The only reason I didn't give it that 5th star was mainly because of a personal preference. I'm ready and excited to jump into book two. This book does end on a tiny cliffhanger. I've had this book in my library since the beginning of the year but I am so glad I waited to read it because now I have all three books and don't have to wait. D
The quote - "Kicking the falling limbs of agony away from the base of my internal tree, I allow fresh limbs to grow anew," is just a taste of the beauty that is Bink Cummings' Hopelessly Shattered. Hopelessly Shattered is a must read if you enjoy good writing, unpredictability, and an emotional ride. I have read all of this author's books and can say this book shows the exponential growth Bink Cummings has undergone as a writer. The writing is magnificent! The imagery and tone in some scenes took my breath away, the sex I don't think I should probably go into detail how it made me react, the depth of emotion and exploration of the human condition is thoughtful, and the word choice throughout the story is awesome. The brilliant use of imagery, emotion, and tone cause you to feel every angst ridden moment the heroine and others endure deep into your psyche. The writing is powerful and causes you as reader to think, reflect, and feel throughout the story. This story is also unpredictable with twists and turns you never see coming and has an ending rich in tears and laughter. Warning-This book is a part one of a duology and the hangover is huge! Enjoy!
Where do I start. For those of you looking at this title who are avid readers, the you will understand what I mean when I say this book gave me a hangover. Yes, Bink, you kept me up until the wee hours of the morning reading this.

There aren't a lot of books that I have read that have had me to the point of tears. This one did. The waty that we get to go from past to present in Kat's life allows us to see not only what driving forces have made her the sassy, strong, loving woman she is. Life has not been eady for her, but she has held strong. The continuous twists that Bink throws at you in this story keep you needing to find out more. If you have ever wondered who, or what Bink is about, I feel this book lays it all out there. Bink I truly believed you bared your soul on this one. I can not wait to read more from this series. I can sense there is more of this story to be told. Kat is not done yet.

This book is a must read. Bink, I love you and want to hate you for this one. And the very end....OMG.. you slay me woman. I am proud to be a SS4L.
This was a beautiful story. It's not your typical MC read, but that's what I loved about it. It was a breath of fresh air to read a story that wasn't filled with MC drama and suspense. Don't get me wrong, I love the standard MC formula we get from so many authors, but sometimes you want something a bit different (or at least I do) and that's what Bink Cummings provided. Though some of the characters were connected with an MC, it's not about them. It's about Kat. Her story was to find closure. She wanted answers and on a tip, she's there to find them. Of course, she ends up getting more answers than expected, but this was her story of strength and moving on and every word on this page delivered that.

Katrina was a short, sweet librarian looking single and expectant mother who's had her heartbroken, but she's made the best of her life. She lives for her children and doesn't spend her days with a "woe is me" attitude. When her world gets flipped, she doesn't freak or cause drama. She handles it quite admirably. I know I wouldn't have been as composed as she was. She showed up to get answers and that's what she got. She was feisty, a bit awkward in some ways and real.

This story was sweet and emotional and a bit heartbreaking. I couldn't decide if I hated a certain someone or if I loved him. Kat held much more forgiveness in her heart than I could and that's what was so tender and sweet about it...and I want more. I can't wait for the second part to this duet. I need to know how it truly ends for these characters, because if anyone deserves a happy ending, it's Kat.
