I am setting here wondering what to type, usually for me giving a review is easy. You either like or you do not. Then you write what you like or didn't like. I am setting here flooded wondering what the hell I am going to type.

I guess first I should say I was given this book by the author before it was released (release date is Feb 8, 2014). I was asked to tell her what I thought of the book. She never asked me to review it. This book has touched me so much that I DEMAND to review it.

There is no doubt that real life is hard, some days are harder then others. We look to book to smile, laugh and sometimes to just escape. Then we find an author who takes a book and turns it into real life.This book is fiction but it could be someones life. It is so believable. An author who makes you think and makes your realize to be thankful for what you have. That no matter how hard life is it could always be worse. It is up to each of us to make the most of today, it is not up to others to make us happy for we must make our self happy to make those around of happy. Ms. Lavelle thank you for reminding me of these things I do forget them from time to time.

So my review is as follows:
I could not put this book down, I do not want it to end and I doubt you can read this book and not feel the emotion and passion. If you really think about what the author is saying at the end of it you should not only be happy but sad, maybe even have a tear. So much goes on in a very short time, you have love lost, love found only to loose it again and it does not stop there. You more or less have most of the town pointing fingers at you for something you had no control over. Carlene has beat herself up more then any person out there could. She has her weak moments but stands strong and faces her fears. People hate her for somethings she never did. No matter what she always put others first,even when they do not to the same for her. Don't you think it is about time others put her first. I guess you will have to read to find out for yourself.

How many times must you loose everything and say what the hell I give up. Before you just want to join those love ones who have died before you. Carlene NEVER thinks this way, just pushes on and hopes times will get better.

Nick is fighting his own demons, for he loved and lost the same man Carlene did, his brother. He doesn't know the story of how he died and he doesn't want to hear it. All he knows is the women he loved lied to him by not telling him who she was and who she loved and yes killed. But did she really kill his brother. Will Nick find it in his heart to really listen and learn or will he let hate take over? Again you will have to read.

I am not one to give a book away, you don't need to know what happen to know if you want to read this book. Plus if you read what the author wrote at the top of this page you already know all you need to know. You will want to read this book.

I will tell you this I almost lost it when Carlene gave the letters her death boyfriend wrote to his mother. We do not know what was in them, we do find out the just of them and that is all we need to know.

I think when you are done reading this book you will find you wish you yourself were more like Carlene and can turn the other cheek no matter what. I know I do, I know I would not have been so kind to Melisa I doubt many of us would be. Melisa has her own evils to face and all I can say is where can I buy book 3? I want it NOW!

Now I am going over to the authors page and I am going to click on being her fan. The only bad thing or I should say the only thing I did not like in this book was it was to short, I did not want it to end and I wanted to know so much more. For someone who didn't know what to say I guess I found a lot lol.

I hope you enjoyed reading this book as much as I did. I gave the author and her book a 5 star but that is the highest I could go it is worth many more starts then allowed. I hope my review gave you some thought and will make you want to read this book. Thank you Ms. Lavelle for reminding me what is important in life.

I was so torn at the end of Entangled Moments that I had to buy this one to see what happened with Carlene and Nick. Learning about what happened with Chris broke my heart and the guilt and hurt that Carlene felt was flowing from the pages. This is an emotional ride but worth reading. Carlene has not heard from Nick in six months. After he left her, she tried to call a few time to explain what happened and she decided to stop so he would not accuse her of being a stalker. Nick is hurting for the twin brother that he never knew until recently and now he is gone. When pictures of Carlene and Nick show up in the papers, Nick accuses her of trying to get back at him. Then a story is released about Chris' death and the only person that knew the whole truth was her best friend Malisa. What could she gain by telling the story? This goes from bad to worse when Carlene steps out of the shelter and is bombarded by reporters. She realizes that she has to tell her story or they will not leave her alone. And then Nick shows up to help her. Can Nick forgive her for what happened with Chris? Can Carlene forgive herself? This is a perfect ending to a heartbreaking story. Please pick them both up, you will not be sorry. I loved them both and I know you will too.
I was reluctant to read Entangled Moments (the first book) because was it a little bit out of my usual genres. But when I did, I enjoyed it a lot and then I read Rekindled Moments and the author simply blew me away.

This second installment had been written so beautifully and sometimes poetically. I could feel the heartbreak and emotion of the characters with each word and sentence. I could feel how painful life was for them and how much strength they had to pick themselves up after going through so much loss, and torment. The storyline was unique and held so much depth, that I couldn't put the novella down.

I'm terribly surprised with myself. I never thought I would enjoy the genre, but Dori Lavelle has gotten me hooked. Hats off to her and her wonderful writing style and for being the first author to write something in a genre I'm starting to love more and more with each read. I can't wait to read more from her.
Where do I start? I was anxious to see what direction Carlene's life took after what had happened at the end of the first one. In this one we get to learn more about the life that she had with her husband Chris. We learn that he was a good man that was battling his own demon's and suffering with depression. I felt that the stuff I needed to know was delivered and in the end I was left with goosebumps.. Not once but TWICE! I don't necessarily know if I could be as forgiving as Carlene is when she is betrayed, but that is why I really like her. She is a genuinely nice woman who has been dealt a bad hand in life. There was some interesting twists and I was definitely surprised that what I thought I knew happened was close but definitely not the case. I was disappointed at how her co-worker's just kind of ditch her, with out even giving her a chance, but that is exactly how some people can be. I was satisfied with the closure of the story but do hope to maybe see these characters again. If you are looking for a good read that you won't be able to put down then The Moments in Time books are ones to make sure and add to your lists. Dori has a wonderful way of making her character's and their world come to life, and with a Book-Boyfriend like Nick.. Serendipity is a place I would like to be....
